Garam Lisboa Guesthouse

Very friendly staff, was unable to sleep the first night due to the small fridge in the room I was staying (located to the left of the bed bolted to the wall 5 feet up), that was making gurgling sounds every 30 minutes. Check for that before midnight or use earplugs. Problem got resolved promptly next morning. Breakfast was okay. Again, staff was very friendly. The only minus was dirty looking/soiled Santa Claus coffee cups, but problem got solved quickly when I asked for regular cups (which hadn't yet been placed at 9:30 am). There were a few flyes flying around since the sliding door at the breakfast room was opened. Location was excellent. Very minor traffic noise with room facing the street. Cab service to the airport was very punctual. I would stay there again, but will be mindful of what I just said.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Garam Lisboa! From the moment we arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the staff stood out. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always eager to help with anything we needed—from local recommendations to small personal requests. Their knowledge of the area made exploring Lisbon even more enjoyable and stress-free. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. The team went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy at all times. The rooms were spotless, with fresh, clean towels and bedding provided regularly, adding to the relaxing and homely atmosphere. Breakfast each morning was a delight—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. It was the perfect start to each day. We can’t recommend Garam Lisboa enough. It’s a charming place with exceptional service and staff who truly care about making your stay memorable. We will definitely be returning!

Beautifully decorated space. The room is beautiful, giving it 4 stars because of the strong mold smell in the in-suite bathroom. The staff is lovely and very helpful especially the gentleman who is there in the afternoon and evening.

Garam Lisboa has some great points: the staff is friendly and helpful, the property is charming, the bed is super comfortable, the shower works perfectly, and breakfast is tasty. I also loved the 24-hour coffee machine, fresh apples for guests, and the location is pretty good. On the downside, for $240 USD per night, the room and bathroom felt small. The TV was tiny and mounted too high, the shower curtain smelled, and the hallway carpet looked worn. Major concern: opened single-serving jelly jars were reused at breakfast, mixed with new ones. This is a serious hygiene issue that the hotel needs to fix immediately.

We had a nice stay here. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Location wise is good, you’re close by to bus and tram stops to go to touristic places. Breakfast was included and it is prepared by the staff in the morning. Since it’s a guest house you can connect with the other guests and is a nice vibe. A little bit pricey for the size of the rooms & location, but definitely aesthetic pleasing.

Unique, rustic, but absolutely lovely interior design. The staff were all very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them to do. About 25 min walk to city centre, good to get a feel for the city. Great city with a strong history. Much of the old city beautifully maintained. Well worth the visit.
